September

Football league
Our football team kicked off the season with 2 games against local teams. We came home with a loss and a draw but lots of praise from Adam and Fiona for the way they played so positively as a team and supported each other throughout the matches. Fantastic role models boys - well done.

October

Football league
The season has continued with more matches at Kingsmead School. The team are getting used to playing on astro now and their skills are improving. Congratulations on a win and a draw this time!

Netball league
With a team of players who are mostly very new to netball we headed off to Kingsmead to play our first 2 matches of the season. The girls learning as they played so were surprised and delighted to come home with 2 wins. Fantastic start girls! 
The second time we went to Kingsmead for 2 more matches we weren't quite so successful, coming up against some tough opposition. We lost and drew these matches but it has made them even more determined for next time.

Cross Country 'A' team race
We took a team of 5 boys and 4 girls to the Enfield Cross Country competition at Forty Hall. It was a tough course and we couldn’t have been prouder of the way our team showed total determination and effort and supported each other – you were all amazing. Special mention to Nana for coming 4th in the girls’ race.

Boys Football Tournament
The team played brilliantly at the Enfield Schools’ Tournament at the PowerLeague in Edmonton, reaching the semi-final stage. They have again been praised for their excellent team play and positive, resilient attitudes – keep it up!

November

Sports Hall Athletics
We took a team of 16 children from Y5 and Y6 to compete against other schools in an indoor athletics competition at Lea Valley High School. It was a really exciting evening with A LOT of loud cheering. Our enthusiastic team took part in different relay races and jumping, throwing, bouncing events. We were very happy with our 3rd place!

Cross Country 'B' team race
We selected our intrepid runners from the children who have been so committed to coming to running club and have really shown an improvement in their stamina over the weeks. They tackled the course at Forty Hall brilliantly, gave it their all - and still managed to smile once they had got thier breath back at the end :)

Tag Rugby matches
Adam made a quick switch from football to tag rugby and has done a great job preparing our new Y6 tag rugby team. They went to Carterhatch to play 3 matches and achieved a win and draw and a loss. The following week they went to the Playing Fields to a big tournament with lots of other Enfield schools. The team did really well, winning 2 and drawing 2 matches. 

Girls Football league and tournament
Jon has been busy training up our girls at football club on Thursdays after school. They played matches at Worcesters School and then went to a tournament at the Power League. They were proud of the draw they achieved in one of the matches and are keen to keep trying until they can turn it into a WIN! The girls are rapidly improving and showing some great talent.

Gymnastics Festival 
Donna and Carolyn have worked hard with our gymnastics team - helping them to learn their routines and perform amazing vaults. A team of Y2 children went to the festival on the Monday and our Y3s and 4s went on the Tuesday. All of the children did really well, performing like professional gymnasts in front of the judges. 

December
8 children attended a Panathlon event at Lea Valley Athletics Centre. They took part in lots of different sporty activities and came home with bronze medals - fantastic!

January

Boccia
6 children played in a boccia tournament (boccia is a paralympic sport, similar to bowls). The matches tested our team's skill at accuracy and aiming under pressure! We did really well, narrowly missing out on the final.

Girls Futsal
We took a team of 6 girls along to the Enfield Y4 and Y5 indoor Futsal tournament. It was an exciting event with lots of short matches against other schools. Our team really gained in confidence over the course of the event and with 3 wins and 3 losses they ended up coming 3rd! A fantastic performance, we were so proud of the way they supported each other and stayed positive.

February

Year 2 Multi-Skills
A group of our Y2s went to Lea Valley Athletics Centre for an afternoon of sport. The children enjoyed all of the activities and loved being at the centre - we are so lucky to have such an amazing facility on our doorstep.

March

Enfield Dance Festival
We had a fantastic evening at the Millfield Theatre this week. Our team performed their ‘power’ dance on stage in front of a packed audience. Thank you Aimee and Maria for all your work making sure our dance was amazing. The children were so excited to be there and loved it –so did the audience

  Netball Tournament
 Our girls netball team went to a big tournament with lots of other schools. We finished on a high after winning our final match! Our team is mostly made of Y5s so we are already looking forward to next year as they show so much promise!

Boys Football league
The football team finished the season with a very impressive win against George Spicer. 5-1 with some fantastic passing, defending and supportive team-play.

April

Y4 indoor athletics
We took a Y4 team to a fun indoor athletics competition at Latymer School. They showed fantastic determination with their relay races, throwing and jumping. Our team came a very well deserved 2nd place!
 

Y2 Multi Skills Panathlon
We took a Y2 team to an indoor multi-skills festival. They had a brilliant time trying out lots of different sports and gained team points and came back with big smiles and medals! Well done.

May
Year 3 & 4 Cross Country

We took a team of keen runners to a cross country event at Lea Valley Athletics Centre. they ran their socks off against lots of children from other schools! Well done to Daniel, Christopher, Adrian and Sidar. Christabel, Lutfa, Armeline and Haliya.

Year 3 & 4 Tennis
Our terrific tennis players came an impressive 3rd place in the Enfield Schools competition. They were praised for their positive play and determination. Congratulations to Cassius, Kian, Melisa and Sevim. And thanks to Michael for his expert coaching.

June

Basketball
Kaylon took 2 teams to the Enfield mini basketball tournament. Both teams were exce10 llent in their skills, knowledge of the game and sporting behaviour. After some very exciting matches, the teams came 2nd and 3rd place overall. The hard work in training had paid off!

Tri Golf
10 children from Y5 went to Bush Hill Park Golf Club for an afternoon of fun golf games and challenges. It was fantastic for them to experience a competition at a 'proper' golf club and despite very little training - they were in at the deep end, picked the skills up quickly and enjoyed every minute of it!

District Sports Athletics
Our team of 30 athletes went to Lea Valley for the annual athletics competition. It was an excellent afternoon seeing children from lots of schools competing to an amazingly high standard. We were delighted with the way our team performed and the way they supported each other throughout the event. We came away with 8 gold medals - a fantastic afternoon.

Y3/4 Football Tournament
We took a football team to a tournament at the Spurs training ground in Enfield. It was a fantastic opportunity for our young footballers to experience playing on what must be the best pitches and with the best facilities in Enfield. They showed what a talented group they are with great passing skills, strong defence and lots of accurate shots on the goal! The boys finished 2nd in our group and we couldn't have been more impressed with their performance.
